Amazing
Hair
Here you
will find the best tips for all hair types, plus a summer hair care
special!
If you
have…
Fine, Straight Hair
You should
always have a few long layers, this will suit your hair best and give it
some shape. As fine hair
tends to just “hang,” try a shorter cut.
Be sure to ask about styling tips from your hair stylist, they will
tell you how to recreate the salon look they just gave you.
Don’t be shy about asking questions.
Keep product
to a minimum as it weighs down the hair, especially avoid heavy serums and oily
products. Look for
“volumizing” products, or ones that will add body.
Buy products specifically made for fine hair, they tend to have
lighter weight ingredients.
Shampoo and
Conditioner – use light weight shampoos and conditioner that promise
body or volume. You still
need conditioner just use the light weight formulas.
Skipping conditioner leads to breakage, split ends and super
dryness, which hinders styling.
How To –
use a volumizer on the roots and blow dry with a medium round natural
bristle brush. To add a few
curls for definition finish off with a medium barrel curling iron.
Oily Hair
If you have oily
hair, you need to cleanse with a clarifying shampoo or one made specially
fir oily hair. You still need to condition but only do the ends,
keep conditioner away from the scalp.

Curly Hair
You want
very few long layers. Short
layers create “Poof” (think poodle).
Stick to blunt ends. You
will definitely benefit from serums.
If your curls have some weight to them, they tend to be less
frizzy.
How to: let
hair air dry with serum as often as possible, this is the best method.
If you absolutely have to blow dry, use low heat and the diffuser
attachment. Always use a wide
tooth comb.
Always use a curl shampoo and conditioner.
They have moisturizers perfect for curls and aren’t super heavy.
Medium Wavy hair
Keep it long
with some long layers that angle the face.
You are blessed with amazing hair genes, you can use pretty much
anything on your hair. Try to
use anything that is moisturizing, especially if your hair is color
treated.
Your curling
iron is your best friend. Define
waves with a large barrel curling iron.
Ethnic Hair Types
Most likely
your hair is dry and prone to breakage, but your scalp may be oily. You may also have it chemically relaxed and colored.
If this is the case you need hydration but not necessarily extra oil.
There are such a wide range of products specifically designed for
your hair type.
Your stylist will be able to show you your options. Just remember to
take good care of your hair, try to avoid relaxing and coloring in the
same day and don't over wash hair.
Whether you
straighten, color or braid you need to take good care of your hair.
Always follow your hair stylists recommendations, and keep up with
your regular trims.

newest buzz in hair care right now is Moroccan oil. I'm totally in
